Fluke 789 ProcessMeter

Fluke 789 combines the measurement capabilities of a digital multimeter with those of a loop calibrator to provide process technicians with double the troubleshooting power in one handheld tool. It’s a maintenance and calibration solution that’ll find a place in every instrumentation technician’s tool box. It’s built on the proven Fluke 87 digital multimeter and adds the ability to source, simulate or measure mA loop current with 1 microamp resolution and 0.05% accuracy, making it ideal for troubleshooting and calibrating current loop applications.

Versatile Testing: Exploring the Fluke 789 ProcessMeter

Like the 787B, the 789 ProcessMeter has a large dual display with 2 levels of backlighting and a selectable 250 ohm HART resistor built in eliminating the need to carry a separate resistor with you. It also features a 24-Volt loop supply reducing the need for you to take a separate power supply with you when doing offline transmitter testing and externally accessible fuses and batteries for easy replacement. It meets 1000 V CAT III and 600 V CAT IV safety standards.

Easily troubleshoot 4 – 20 mA signals with this easy to use clamp meter. It saves you time by measuring both the signal and its reflected voltage on the cable and provides the ability to source and simulate 4 – 20 mA signals without breaking the loop or affecting the system. It also enables you to measure DC voltage, continuity and resistance, and includes a built in 24-Volt loop supply. This is a perfect choice for measuring signals in PLC and control systems analog I/O or output signals from transmitters.
